A tribute. Reflection.
Yesterday I was having my recent indulgence in supper (ha... a man eats when he is in the most weird of moods, i think)...
I switched on CNA... glued for close to an hour to the black box which i so shunned.
Mr. Rajaratnam, the first foreign minister of Singapore, passed away due to heart failure. The tributes flowed in and was aired on CNA. I could feel the respect Singaporeans had for Mr. Rajaratnam. He was able to galvanize the people and simplify the message to cater to his audience... an efficient orator... a person with empathy and magnimous and gracious too.
On the bus-ride to campus, I heard on Gold 90.5... about one of his favorite songs. "When I fall in love". I believe he is a great family man. I believe the inspiration drawn from this great man has made me find a new focus in life...
When I Fall In Love
And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love with you
.
When I fall in love it will be forever
Or I'll never fall in love
In a restless world like this is
Love has ended before it's begun
And too many moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun
.
When I give my heart it will be completely
Or I'll never give my heart
And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love with you
.
(Ooh this love feels so right...)
When I give my heart it will be completely
Or I'll never give my heart
.
And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love
When I fall in love
Is when I fall in love with you
On a side-note, I guess the heart is something difficult to predict.
"What win I, if I gain the thing i seek.
A dream, a breath, a froth of fleeting joy.
Who buys a minute's mirth to wail a week.
Or sells eternity to get a toy?
For one sweet grape, who will the vine destroy?"
